UPDATE: Senatorial Scholarship decisions have been made for the 2017-2018 school year. If you are interested in applying in the future, please check back here again in February 2018.
In order to be eligible for the Senatorial Scholarship through Senator Michael Hough’s office, you must be a graduating high school senior, undergraduate student, post graduate student, or career/technical school student residing in District 4. The scholarship may be used for full-time enrollment at any accredited Maryland institute of higher education. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and must have already applied for FAFSA before submitting their application.
- February 1st – Scholarships Applications are open.
- March 1st – Complete and file your FAFSA.
- June 1st – All applications are due.

If you are planning to attend a college or university out-of-state, you must receive an approved Unique Major Status in order to receive a Senatorial Scholarship. The application for Unique Major Status is provided below and takes up to 8 weeks to review. Please complete your application in a timely manner.
